What we do

Full-service HVAC since 1992.

Seven service lines, one phone number. A same-day capacitor replacement, a high-efficiency furnace install, a 20-ton rooftop swapped on a restaurant, a custom geothermal loop designed from scratch: the same shop handles all of it. No subcontractors. No middlemen.

About M&M

Family-owned. Locally rooted. Quietly excellent.

Alan and the M&M crew opened the doors in 1992 out of a much smaller shop on the edge of Washington. By 1996, the work had outgrown the building, so the family put up the current shop on Rio Virgin Drive, and we've been operating out of it ever since. Same family. Same address. Same phone number that's been answered for over three decades.

We've worked on essentially every era of HVAC equipment that's ever been installed in Southern Utah, from 1970s gravity furnaces to R-22 split systems we replaced ten years ago to the variable-speed inverter units going in this week. That long tail of experience is the actual product. When a tech walks into your mechanical room, they've probably seen the exact configuration before.

We don't run salespeople on commission. We don't push memberships you don't need. When a $30 capacitor will fix your system, that's what we install, and we tell you so. Plenty of HVAC companies have made a different choice. We'll keep making this one.

Why M&M

Four things that set us apart.

You can probably find an HVAC contractor on every block in St. George. Here's why thousands of Southern Utah homeowners and businesses keep dialing the same number they did a decade ago.

30+ Years of Local Experience

Same family, same shop, same phone number since 1992. We've installed and serviced equipment in every Washington County zip code.

Honest Diagnostics

If a $30 part fixes it, we install the $30 part. No commission salespeople, no upsell pressure, no manufactured emergencies.

All Makes & Models

24/7 Emergency Dispatch

When your AC quits at 9 PM in July, you don't want voicemail. A real tech is on rotation every night and weekend, year-round.

Common questions before the first call

How fast can you get to my home?
From our Washington shop, most homes inside the St. George metro area see a truck within 30 minutes during business hours. Same-day service is the rule, not the exception, on AC repair in summer and furnace repair in winter. If you're farther out (Springdale, Toquerville, La Verkin), we'll give you an honest ETA when you call. Emergencies after hours are answered by a real technician on rotation, not a call center.
Do you service all brands?
Yes. We service Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, York, American Standard, Bryant, Mitsubishi, Daikin, LG, Fujitsu, and the older Day & Night, Coleman, and Heil units still running across Southern Utah. We've serviced equipment from every era of HVAC in this market since 1992. If we can't get a part, we'll tell you up front and help you decide whether to repair or replace.
What does an AC repair typically cost?
Most residential AC repairs in Southern Utah land between $150 and $700, depending on the part. A failed capacitor or contactor is typically under $250 fully installed; a blower motor or condenser fan motor runs $400–$700; refrigerant leak repairs vary widely. Compressor or coil replacements on older systems often tip the math toward replacement. We'll show you the numbers honestly before any work starts.
Are you licensed and insured in Utah?
Yes. M&M Mechanical Inc. is a Utah-licensed HVAC contractor, fully insured, and bonded. Our installs pass inspection the first time because we follow Manual J load calculations, Manual D duct design, and current code on every job. We're happy to provide our license number and certificate of insurance to homeowners, builders, or property managers on request.
Do you offer financing on new systems?
Yes. We work with several financing partners that offer competitive terms on full system replacements, including plans with deferred interest and longer repayment options. Many homeowners qualify for instant approval, and some new high-efficiency systems also qualify for federal tax credits and Rocky Mountain Power rebates. Ask your tech for the current options when we write your quote.
What areas of Southern Utah do you serve?
Our home base is Washington, and we serve the entire St. George metropolitan area: Washington, St. George, Hurricane, Ivins, Santa Clara, La Verkin, Toquerville, and Springdale. We also handle commercial work farther out (Cedar City and Kanab) on a case-by-case basis. If you're not sure whether we cover your address, just give us a call.
