Three Decades of HVAC in Southern Utah

M&M Mechanical Inc. opened its doors in 1992. Washington was a much smaller town then—Telegraph Street had stoplights you could count on one hand, and the population of the entire valley was a fraction of what it is now.

The early years defined the company. Between my father, who started in the trade back in 1973 at the age of 20, and myself, starting at 18, we have well over half a century of combined hands-on experience right here in Southern Utah. By 1996, the business had grown enough that our family put up the current shop on Rio Virgin Drive. We've been operating out of it ever since. Same family. Same address. Same phone number that's been answered for over three decades.

Over the last thirty-plus years, we've worked on essentially every era of HVAC equipment in the region. We know the older R-22 split systems inside and out, just as comfortably as the modern variable-speed inverter units and ductless mini-splits going into custom homes across the valley this week. That deep well of experience is our actual product. When a technician walks into your mechanical room, they've likely seen your exact configuration before and know exactly how to handle it.

Most of our calls today come from repeat customers, their kids, and the neighbors they sent our way. That's not an accident. It's the result of decades of decisions about how to do honest work. We don't run salespeople on commission, we don't push memberships you don't need, and when a simple, inexpensive part will fix your system, that's exactly what we install.

Furthermore, we monitor our lines around the clock to ensure critical system breakdowns get priority attention when the summer heat peaks.

Plenty of HVAC companies have made a different choice. We'll keep making this one.
